Field 1 of 6

Digital Humanities

Nisa and Adalene built an AI-assisted tool for transcribing The Spiritual Meadow, a rare Byzantine Greek text, comparing AI and human transcriptions to produce searchable, verified stories.

I was really encouraged as a teacher by how my students were thinking critically about using the LLM for certain tasks, and also maintaining space for themselves as readers.

Field 2 of 6

Neuroscience & AI

Adam studied how musical expertise shapes the way our brains represent music, using Representational Similarity Analysis.

Adam’s able to teach me. Adam knows more about programming than I do, but of course I know a lot more than he does about the pre-existing literature on neuroscience.

Field 3 of 6

AI Evaluation & Safety

Alex and Alok examined how language models internally represent bias, harmfulness, and refusal beneath their outputs.

Field 4 of 6

Ocean Engineering

Lewis built SwimSonic, using a hydrophone and AI to analyze swimming sound and drag for technique feedback.

Lewis covered the whole spectrum of engineering a product. It’s really impressive, especially for just a few weeks this summer of working on it.

Audio Intelligence

Our internship team built a pipeline that turns long-form audio, like earnings calls, into searchable insights using transcription, speaker ID, and vocal analysis.

You all have implemented a framework that will allow the searching of audio and video the same way that we currently search text. That’s a huge accomplishment for y’all to build a prototype of this in the short amount of time that we’ve had. I’m very proud of y’all.

AI Discovery

Our AI Discovery students turned everyday challenges into working apps, using AI to build tools for schoolwork, sports training, job searches, and community events.
